We require our Employees to:

*Take their temperature each morning and afternoon.

*Wipe down surfaces each morning with a hospital-grade disinfectant.

*Vacuum every morning.

*Clean the bathroom at regular intervals.

*Remove all bedding and wipe down all tables and surfaces between each client with a hospital-grade disinfectant, before putting on clean sheets.

*Between each client, wipe down door handles, rooms, chairs, credit card machine, etc., or anything the client or therapist has touched.

*Wash their hands before and after each client.

*Wear a mask during services (we can and will wear gloves upon request).

We ask our Clients to please:

*wait inside your car until their appointment time. We will bring paperwork to your car for you to fill out.

*Let us take their temperature when they arrive.

*Wear a face mask or appropriate covering during your service.

*Only bring in the essentials (keys, wallet, etc.), no guests please.

*Wash hands after you enter and before exiting the building.

What To Expect

Your massage session will take place in a massage therapy room, which is dimly lit with soft music. There will be a massage table covered with a sheet and blanket. Dress attire during your massage session is based according to your comfort level. You may choose to wear your undergarments or gym shorts. If your session is for Sports Massage, it is recommended that you wear or bring comfortable shorts and a tank top for use during your session.  The massage therapist will exit the room while you disrobe and position yourself on the massage table under a sheet. In most cases, you will begin by lying face-up on the massage table. After a few minutes, the massage therapist will ask to reenter. This is when your therapeutic massage begins.

During the massage therapy conversation is limited to increase your state of relaxation and tension release. Settle onto the table and try to focus on your breathing.  It is imperative that you inform the therapist if you experience discomfort or if he/she needs to adjust the pressure. A wide variety of strokes will be utilized depending on your goals. At the close of the session, the massage therapist will inform you that he/she is exiting the room for you to redress. It is advised that you rise slowly from the massage table for some may experience slight dizziness. Make sure to re-enter your day as slowly as you can. Drink 3 glasses of water during the 3 hours that follow your session. Also, please be aware that there may be sore spots and in rare cases, slight bruising may occur.  Any soreness dissipates within a day or two.

After your session the massage therapist keeps a record of progress for your massage session(s). This allows the ability to design consecutive sessions that can work toward your goal(s). Massage therapy is designed to decrease muscle tension, increase flexibility and circulation, promote relaxation and assist the body’s detox processes. This cannot be achieved solely in a one-hour session. It is recommended to have follow-up sessions.

Booking & Appointment Reservations

Advance reservations are recommended as appointments are subject to availability. A debit or credit card is required to hold your reservation. Credit card holds are required for all guests without exception. Your card will not be charged until treatment is received or in accordance to our cancellation policy.

Our Cancellation Policy

A 24-hour cancellation notice is required to help us reschedule your appointment. Cancellation within 24 hours of treatment time or No Show will incur a 100% Cancellation Fee equal to the amount of the booked service. Power of Touch Massage & Bodywork has the right to cancel or reschedule a treatment without notice.
